💭You read these words but do you truly resonate with them? As a young girl who was prematurely exposed to life’s harsh realities I quickly understood the type of woman I had to become, whether I liked it or not. In a family that was torn apart by the role of alcoholism and abuse I viewed life a bit differently. I promised myself I would be stronger, not only for myself, but for my mother and sister. At the age of 15 I gave up my love for sports to work 3 jobs.I don’t know what being spoiled feels like. I understood what the value of money and responsibility was while others were more concerned about getting high and drunk. I am not enamored by your shiny possessions or the designer shoes you are wearing. I admire those who have seen what real struggle, fear, and loss is. We all have a story no one knows about and that's what makes us all beautiful. Beautiful people do not just happen. Within them lies depths some of us couldn’t begin to understand. Allow those depths to cultivate the strength and willpower needed in order to live a more fulfilling life. Don’t let it hinder you. This character is symbolic for those things I stand for and I’m grateful to be able to say I’m proud of the path I’ve been led on.
