Being camera shy is a bit of an under statement. This photo shoot meant much more to me than capturing the best picture. It meant getting over a fear/insecurity of mine that most people who aren't very close to me know exists. I wouldn't consider myself the most photogenic person, in fact, if you were to want to take a selfie of me and I'm not in control of the camera I automatically tell myself I will look horrible. I'm somebody who is VERY critical of myself and tend to pick apart every part of me I dislike ESPECIALLY in photos. Sure I could take 100 selfies of myself and settle with a handful that I find I look decent in BUT stepping on the other side of the camera in which I have no control over absolutely terrifies me. Trusting your photographer definitely helps and I'm so grateful to be in such good hands with people who see potential in me that I might not always see in myself. I give a lot of credit to women who love themselves unconditionally, step on stage with confidence and kill it in front of the camera! Baby steps 🙏🏽
